Evalina is special in that the headstock was very hard to carve. It demonstrates that anything is possible if you throw enough patience and time at it. From the Sea Turtles inlayed on the fretboard, to the Hibiscus flower carved on the tailpiece, it shows off from the bottom to the top. Made primarily of Curly Koa with the finest Port Orford Cedar top plate, it has an Ebony fretboard, Cocobolo tailpiece, and a singular headstock. The tuning machines are by Gotoh, with a 14:1 gear ratio for precise tuning. This uke is 'Stage Ready' with Fishman electronics, a solid curly Koa neck, 24 frets, and an adjustable white Corian bridge complete the details of this highly unusual offering.
Building this instrument was a labor of Love. Sometimes, you have to make something "over the top" to stretch your idea of the possible. If an uke that impresses every time you open the case is what you'd like, it's hard to find a better candidate than Evalina.
